Names: 55 (after the Fifty Origonal States and the USS America, USS Freedom, USS Liberty, USS Justous, and the USS Republic)

Ship of the line: USS America

Variant: Unknown (i have no clue what to call it because it is suposed to be the Marrage between the Dreadnought and the Heavy Explorer)

Noted ships: USS America and USS Arizona

Weapons: 12 Lunchers 6 Photon 6 Quantom (6 on the back of the ship in a weapons pod 6 in the saucer) Spreds of 10 photons and 5 Quantoms a luncher Beam phasers on the saucer Nacels and wepons pod and to top it all off she has two sets of four Pulse Cannons on each of her sides

Info: now i came up with this ship idea on Dec 7 2007 it was origonaly the Arizona class then a friend told me someone made the Arizona Class as a mod for Bridge comander so i changed it to America she was desgined Mainly to be a new wepon to fight the borg with (because the Defiants and Sovereigns just have So much trubble with it) Now im not saying that this ship could take a cube by itself but it can hold its own farly well also i know you Super fans out there are saying this is NOT what star-fleet would build however i have made it in the story i am writing that Star-fleet decided to try Multi Purpos ships again so she can do ANYTHING equiped with the latest Labs sensors and such it is suted to help star-fleet in Defence and Exploration she can go up to Warp 9.9 for a few hours but then thats it she can seperate and the sucer Remains Warp capable with a Prototype Modifed Class 7 Warp core (Same out of Defiant i think) she has two Shuttle bays one off the Back and one in the nose of the Sucer section

Wow, kinda beefy, with 3 more tubes than the Sovereign.  Overall I like the idea but I think making the saucer warp capable is a little much.  Are there going to be extra nacelles sticking out of the saucer?  Unless you're trying to make another Prometheus-class,  I would leave it impulse-capable, otherwise it seems like you're trying to fit too much into one package.

As to the variant, how about just calling it a Heavy Dreadnought?

Warp nacells that fold out of the hull sounds cool, but wouldnt the space it takes up in the hull be better used for more armamnets or other equipment? The Defiant if i remember right does not have fold out nacells, they are fixed in hull with heavy armor plating around them so they would be hard to exploit as a weakness on the hull.

Not to sound like too much of a killjoy, but don't you think that a whole series of starships named after the subdivisions of one dissolved nation state of one of the Federation's many worlds seems highly unlikely and seems not only human-sentic but Amero-centric. I'm just saying.

 

ok 1 this ship line was requested By the US state (in the story line) out side the story i made it that so that the story shiip could be named Arizona that was my plan from the begining because i want to bring honor to my state and to the lives lost on the real battleship that sunk at pearl harbor
2 also in story line the "America class" was desgined with two purpouses 1. first and for most star-fleets Newest Long range Exploritory ships going deeper into space than ever before and 2. to fight as star-fleets newest defence project that is why there are so many of them so that some could be out exploring and some could be at home on guard duty and if thoes two jobs does not sound like The America i love with all my heart then i don't want to know the truth Yes The us has made mistakes WHO HAS NOT No contry is perfect so Sue me to the deapths of hell I don't care

I'd say put some "Experimental" Quantum Phasers and Transphasic torpedoes lol. But a Borg Inspired sensor array and shielding system would be sweet. I say a Milti-vector assault mode would do nicely. I enjoy offensive and defensive system ideas lol. But for propulsion, I say its a good idea not to have the impulse engines protruding/ being exposed too far out from the hull.

it already has experimental phasers on it Type XI and i would rather just stick to Quantum and Photon Torps and what are you talking about with the Impulse engines they are build into the saucer like the sovy
