Interview with Commander Crist, Professor of Tactical/Security Lotus Fleet Academy
Where are you from:
I’m from Harrisonburg, VA, in the USA
When did you join Lotus Fleet:
22nd January 2009
Favorite Star Trek series and/or movie:
Ah, I think my favorite series would have to be DS9, it was a different show from the rest and I really enjoyed the fleet battles that was in the Dominion War, as for movie I guess I’ll go with the Wrath of Khan
Favorite Star Trek Captain:
I'll go with Sisko, he's someone who will do what is needed to be done
Favorite Star Trek ship:
Sovereign Class
Favorite Star Trek character:
Data, you just can't hate him, if you did, it would be like hating a little kid lol
Favorite Star Trek uniforms:
Hmm I would have to good with the Wrath of Khan ones, got to love those classic maroon uniforms
Which actor/character would you kick out of Star Trek:
I hate to be like everyone else, but I would have to say Wesley, I really despise him, I should have beamed onboard the enterprise long ago and shot him rofl
What is the story behind your name:
It's my last name, figured, why not be me in game and in the trek universe
What position do you have in Lotus Fleet:
I'm a Commander and Professor of Tactical and Security of our fair Academy. O, I torture the academy cadets with tactical and security info, lol. Naw, I write courses for my field and help the cadets out as best I can.
Give us your opinion of the Chain of Command in Lotus Fleet:
It’s great. It feels like a Starfleet chain of command in function, yet it’s easy going so we can all get along and remain friends, no matter what position you’re in.
What is your RP role in Lotus Fleet:
O duh, I Rp as Lt. Daniel Crist, Chief Security Officer, USS McKenzie
How do you spend your time within the Fleet:
Helping out the cadets and working on new courses for the Academy, hanging out in the shout box and trying to beat some high scores in the arcade lol
Is there anything you would like to change in the current structure:
Nope, it’s great as it is.
Do you have any siblings:
Yeah, one younger brother
Does he share your interest in Star Trek:
Not really, I don’t think he’s much of a sci-fi fan, though he is into mmo’s, mostly the fantasy type. He may try out STO since I know he played SWG long ago, though he may only play for a month and quit, I doubt he’ll stay.
What has drawn you to Lotus Fleet:
I was looking at the STO forums and was bored at the time, thought it would be a good idea to join up with a fleet then rather than wait for the game to come out. That way I would get a feel for the group and make friends easier, instead of join in game and trying to remember who’s who and who would be willing to help a complete stranger.
Well I did take a look at others, like some of the numbered fleets, UFP and a few others, but when I came to lotus fleet, there site was great and the academy was also interactive, but mostly it seemed to have a great membership, and I made friends with much of them quickly.
What does Lotus Fleet mean to you:
An awesome group where you can make friends easily and will be a leading force in game.
Where do you see Lotus Fleet in five years:
O I’m sure the Fleet will still be in game in five year, I see it very large, and all the other fleet will cower in fear at its sight.
Where do you see yourself in five years:
Ah not sure, I hope I’m in a job that I love, and maybe a girlfriend or wife, other than that, only time will tell.
Biggest fear/phobia:
Ah I don't think I have a big fear of anything, I mean I can get scared or whatever, but I usually able to stand up to it.
Your passion in life:
Ah, games, whether there computer or console, maybe acting, and talking with everyone here on the forums.
Highlight in your life:
I guess I’ll go with acting, I’m thinking of doing that as a major.
One thing nobody knows about you:
I'm very shy.
Describe yourself in 5 words:
Shy, Funny, Helpful, Energetic, and Nice.
Do you have a motto? A quote, to share:
There was a bummer sticker I saw long ago that said, “Don’t sweat the small stuff”.
Advice for new members:
Stay active and communicate, either on the shout box or the forums, this fleet is a great way to make friend and to have a great time.
