Cryptic unveils player creatable content for COH/COV.

Could this mean that my dream of player created missions in STO could be there?

 Ummm...Is'nt COH owned by NCsoft? Are you sure you don't mean Champions?

City of Heroes/Villains have for quite some time been run by NCSoft, which have zero involvement in the development for STO/Champions. However, I do hope Cryptic adds some form of "holodeck program creation" to the game.

Right.  Well despite the fact that the game is now run by NCSoft, wasn't it still developed by Cryptic?  Wasn't it on the Cryptic Engine 1.0?  Isn't STO Cryptic 2.0?  Despite the "new" engine, STO looks very much like COH with a new skin and polish. 

And now we know that you can create content within the 1.0 engine.  2.0 should facilitate it at launch, I would think.

Cryptic still license the engine to NCSoft yeah and the team that is still with CoH/V were some of the team members who have worked on it since launch.

It should be pointed out that the MA system was an update to developer tools within the game after Cryptic and NCSoft parted ways, it is a recent update to those tools that Cryptic doesn't have access to.
