I have another question.

Will missions effect what happens in STO? Meaning if you complete of fail a mission, will the effects of that mission be seen in the game. Example of that can be an escort mission to keep grain shipments going to Planet A, but pirates cut the supply line, and now the planet is in danger of the losing the special grain they need.

I just think it would be a nice change of pace, if missions had real effects to areas within the game. That way you can try to fix problems as players, no matter what level the player is, they could help with missions of these types.

City of Heroes/Villains added the "Flashback" system that enabled us to replay old content as well as allow us access to "historical" events, will such a feature be available in STO using the Holodeck or something.

Should I re-post my questions from the other thread here? If yes, then here they are. If no, ignore the next four questions but pay attention to the four questions after those.

1. Are you a Trekkie/Trekker? I believe that in order to please the fan-base of a certain genre you have to have to the same love for it that they do.

2. Will there be player ship interiors at launch? If not, how would you expect environments like Sickbay, the mess hall or even the holo-deck to be handled aboard player starships? Will those environments even be included or will they be handled with controls and a view "outside of the ship"?

3. Will the graphics be stylized, realistic or a mixture of both?

4. How will economy be handled in a world where most everything that you need can be replicated?

5. How will respawning be handled?

6. Will the game be level or skill based? Both?

7. Can we see the uniforms yet?

8. Will ground combat be traditional MMORPG or will it lean towards FPS?

Hmm, I have only a single question, which I have to formulate very precise:

Will the "established" artists of the Star Trek community, including myself, Galen, Kaden, Clawhammer (made the New Atlantic runabout for the calendar) and Suricata among others, be able to submit a starship, station, or whatever design, to the Dev so that it will be included in the game? I'm talking exteriors only unless an artist goes all the way with designing a complete ship, inside and out.

For example, I submit the *USS Marksman*, a ship which has 10 decks, using the (if it were to be used) PSI models of a Nova class. I would provide my own schematics to the Dev, everything they would  need to just paste it into their framework and hit *enter* to render.

I know that there are some legality issues here concerning US law, but except for a accreditation I would be more than happy to deliver my design Paramount / Dev for them to use. Also, I'm not saying I want this NOW, but perhaps later on when the game is established, in phase 2 or 3. Note that I'm saying "established", because I would understand that EVERYONE would want his or her own designed ship in, but that just isn't possible. So perhaps letting the established portals like Hailingfrequencies and STOnet act as a filter before passing them on to the Dev.

Well, actually, the two last parts of the posts are all detailed work. Let's stick with the question: will established artists be able to submit a design, yes or no?

I gotta ask, why only "established" artists? This game will have everyone in it, shouldn't anyone have a chance to make their design a part of the game? Why should that be limited to just a few select individuals?

Those select individuals that prove themselves able to create a design that is up-to-par with the design standards set by the Dev. That's why I already changed my course into you guys and/or STOnet being filters for which designs would be good and which not. As I already mentioned... everybody wants their design in, but the dev will in no way be able to judge all of them, they'll be too busy. That's where we as a community would step in.

I'd like to know:

Are you aware of the Starship name database that was compiled by the StarTrek-Online.NET community?  Do you have any plans on using this particular resource, or in ones like it?

Question:

Have you the developers given consideration to working with JJ Abrhams / Bad Robot so that STO can work WITH the new rebooted franchise rather than against? Any consideration given to an STO which ties into JJ's movies? If the answer is no to these, then please explain why not and why you feel STO should try and stand alone from the franchise.
