One inherited flaw that I have found in current Star Trek Games is that the ships are not in scale with each other, for example, in Bridge Commander, the Defiant was as large as the Galaxy Class' saucer section which is not cannon.  What will the new developers plans be with scaling of the ships?

One of the corner stones of Star Trek is interactivity with the environment and is something that almost all star trek games lack.  How much interaction will we have with our ships, and if we have interiors, which we should, I would like the opportunity to walk down to an EPS relay and overload the damn thing, knocking something out somewhere in the ship, not that I'd want to but its the point that I can.  So in short, what is the level of interaction we will have with our environment.

you know what i realised that alot of people are thinking the same thing. i guess to make the question simplified so everyone is happy. is that,

will ship interactivity be realistic, and how much of it will there be?

will doctors, engineers and science officers have alot of interactivity with their given profession, so they will have fun tinkering?

what type of balance between realism and ease of usage are you looking for? will this game be marketed for hardcore Trekkie fans or children?

How much can you do on a ship as a member of its crew?

How trek is it going to be?

Will there be fully mapped out player ship interiors with an acurate representation of the locker rooms and toilets? And what special skills or levels will be needed to flush them?

Seriously, my question would be:

Lets talk about the geek-factor. A reoccurring and heated topic in the comunity during the past years where ships interiors and the complexity of crew interactions. Accessibility is a must for the success of any piece of software, without doubt. But how complex do you think can your MMO possibly become?

And a second one, that I personally care a lot about:

A trend in the MMO genre seems to be the idea of pushing classical RPG elements into the background in favour of easy to handle combat oriented content. The old fashioned RPG fans in the world wide web have expressed their concerns about that trend again and again. Just think along the uproar about Sonys New Gaming Experience or the ongoing crussade of some RPG fans against WoW and all its so called clones. So, do you intent to satisfy the faction of MMO gamers that cry for games that have a heavier focus on roleplaying?

What will engineering be like  :redshirt:

- upgrading ships/systems?
- repairing damage?
- fixing sonics howers/replicators?
- will there be jeffries tubes ???

What races will there be ?

Will there be an ensign unknown (npc) ?

Where can I sign up for the beta tests :P ?

And a few more critic suggestions.. Please do not look at Age of Conan for inspiration ( it sucks.. ) and 2ndly No cartoony graphics please!!!

Here are a few more questions from me.

1. Will we see Orion as a playable race?

2. Will career professions have mini-games to help keep it interesting? Example: Medical field having to mix meds to find a cure. Engineering fixing a power pathway, before the timer hits zero. etc etc.

3. Will we see ship to ship boarding in combat?

4. Will we be able to land shuttles on a planet?

5. Will there be space walking?

Personally I never liked the idea of the game being set 20 years in the future. Being that it will start from earth with limited Races. Why not start it back at the Bigginning with us Rediscovering technology. Less to develop at the start. Just because its Star trek doesn't mean it has to follow the Series. I would love to see it start right after the Enterprise Series. it would get players room to explore, meet new races, developer new tech. instead of it already being done.

     My questions.

     1. Will we be able to customize Ships. Outside look. and feel, Name, Inside Bridge. Engineering, Medical office.

     2. will players be able to own, or be commissioned to a certain ship or will we have to get a new one each time we play.

     3. Will we be able to fly other then Federation Ships. IE being a pirate. a Rogue. Miner, Transporter, Does everybody have to be in the federations.

     4. This one is a big one. can we fly the Ships from inside. looking out from the Flightdeck or the bridge. or will it be Eve Based looking at the Butt end of your vessel.

     5. Other question have already been asked. but are important. Skill based lvl or Time consuming grinding and fighting. I like the Skill based like Eve. it gives the players time to be in Real life not having to sit in front of there computer for 8 to 12 hours a day grinding.

6 will there be player owned Station, ships, Corporations, What as a Player will I be able to own other then the clothers on my back and the Pistol on my hip.

Look forward to hearing some of the Idea's the devs are coming up with. This game has been a long time waiting.

Ok I have more questions:

1. Will we have use of NPC red shirts on Away missions, like pets so to speak?

2. Will we see Roleplaying Servers?

3. Can we still gain the rank of Admiral, and if so will Admirals get to make their own missions for other players?

4. Will we see player housing?

5. Will Guilds/ Fleet get an Outpost to use as a base, and later be able to upgrade them to Starbases?

I will think of more later. hehe
