With the launch of the Cryptic Studios Star Trek Online website last night, fans around the world were collectively jumping for joy as we got our first look at Cryptic Studios Star Trek Online!

They are the shiznit - They have a slightly styalized look to them, but not enough to bother me! I'm so excited.

I just have one question. What are those ships that appear in many of the pictures. They really do not look like any species design that I recognize. anyone see any tell tail signs of what race they might belong to?

Ya, I thought so too Zach. I was going to use the word "cartoony" but yours works too. But like you it's not enough to go ballistic over just yet. I'm sure they're just pre-pro shots anyway. The game should be much better.

The real test is going to be when we see video from vegas! Its easy to make static shots look nice, so lets see how the video holds out!

Good point, I can't wait either. It's been so long waiting for this to finally happen. I'm soooo glad Cryptic got hold of this. PE was doing a really sucky job of it.

Lol, I remeber saying the opposite when the PE pics came out:
"Pics easily look bad, I'll reserve comments till I see it move"
