Kinn the new formats got a glitch dealing with the widget blocking off a portion of the drop down links..
it doesn't show the irc properly for my IE 8.. on 1024x768 or higher res on a 19" CRT

it barly shows the ventrillo word and totaly blocks view of the IRC hot link..

Could you please post a IRC htolink in another way?
