I'd drop the numbers significantly. If it makes people feel special...cool.
I actually noticed how fast you reached senior member over at STO.com and smiled. I was not in it for the rank...but it was nice. So there must be something to it.
Perhaps 4,000 to Fleet Admiral AND cut out the all but one cadet level. Throw in a candy bar or one of those signed Legacy posters as a gift for the first (X) who reach it. Maybe I can get some STO shirts from Reverb.

Though I probably drove a lot of folks crazy with GRID, CELL, D.A.R.P.A., NASA and the TV Show/MMO Tie in.
